Purposeful Passion

Purposeful: having a clear aim or purpose

Passion: a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something

I thought to myself – that is exactly how I want to live my life for Jesus. Living with excitement and enthusiasm to serve Him for His glory!

Jesus was purposefully passionate. He knew what He was called to do. He walked toward that every step of His life. That purposeful passion within Jesus gave Him the crowning glory when He gave everything He had to honor His Father and set us all free from the bondage of sin. What an amazing victory! He conquered death so that we may live eternally with God.

Do you have a purposeful passion in your walk with Jesus? God places that in your heart as you seek Him and trust Him in all things. If not, ask Him to ignite that fire within your heart. Ask God how He can use what your passionate about for His glory. Each of us has a different calling, but it’s all for the same purpose – to ultimately glorify the name of Jesus and give honor and praise to Our Father in heaven who gave us life.

Ponder this in your heart today and ask the Lord Jesus to reveal your passion and set your life on fire for Him!

Be Purposefully Passionate for Christ!

Psalm 34:1-3 (The Passion Translation)

Lord, I’m bursting with joy over what you’ve done for me! My lips are full of perpetual praise. I’m boasting of you and all your works, so let all who are discouraged take heart. Join me everyone! Let’s praise the Lord together. Let’s make him famous! Let’s make his name glorious to all.
