mountain landscapeLet not your heart be troubled, my child. I have come so that you may have rest.  I am here for you today. Just call on me and I will answer. Let my peace rest upon your shoulders as you give all your worries and concerns to me.  It may feel as though there is no end to your trial, as if the weight of this world is going to crush you and you can barely breathe. This too shall pass, my beloved.  I am your strength and as you persevere through this trial, I am building a new strength of character within you that will one day serve you well in the ministry I have called you to. Yes, there is a plan I have for your life, a plan that will bring you the joy and peace you have been longing for.  A plan where I will use you and these current circumstances for my glory to bring light to this broken world. The end of this trial you are in is drawing near. Keep hanging on.  I will bring you through this and you will be victorious in this battle for I am with you and I am on your side. The outcome may be different that what you expected but in time you will begin to understand that this was all part of a greater plan. Because of the darkness the enemy brings on this world you live in there are things that happen to my children that are not fair, that bring much pain and suffering.  I know and understand your suffering for I too suffered.  But ultimately through my suffering I paved a way for you to have victory over the enemy.  This life you live is but a blink of an eye in comparison to the eternal life I have for you because you have believed in me. You can make it. Be strong for the reward for your suffering is great – far greater than you could ever imagine.  I am storing up treasuries in heaven for you with each tear that you cry.  Continue to put all your faith and trust in me, in the promises I have given you in my Word.  All will be well, my beloved. All will be well. I have come so that you may have life and have it in abundance.

Romans 5:3-5

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
